Linens and Chair Covers

Fine linens are just as much a sign of class and quality as they were in the days of Victorian lace and tapestries. Fashions and textiles have evolved, but the principal has stayed the same; if you want to create a classy event, a white cotton catering cloth just won’t do. Here are a few tips to help you create the look you want.
- The choice of color and material are crucial to achieving the right feel for your event. Burgundy and copper polyester tablecloths are perfect for a fall wedding. Pastel satins are a great spring look. Bright colors are great for summer fun and corporate events.
- Floor length linens are recommended for all formal occasions. Table legs are quite unattractive next to a guest’s dress. Floor length linens will create beautiful blocks of color which will draw the eye to the centerpiece instead of the darkness under the table.
- No matter what the event, a table looks great with a two cloth treatment. For fun prints, bring out the color you want by using a colored floor length tablecloth under a smaller print linen. To soften the look of a wedding, add a sheer tablecloth over a solid poly.
Chair covers are the new popular “must have” for every event. Many venues have beautiful chairs, but wire frames and busy patterns can distract from the look of the space. Whether it is a wedding or corporate event, the proper chair cover will bring uniformity to the room allowing your guest’s eyes be dazzled by the room décor.
Floor length poly linens and standard chair covers are a must even if your budget doesn’t allow for specialty fabrics!
